Kindergarten
Sandhill Kindergarteners will be visiting a farm in Cambridge, WI to immerse our senses in an engaging, educational experience. We will be learning more about food production, the care and feeding of animals, and the many smells a great farm has to offer!
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO KNOW?

- Chaperones: 3 Needed
- Trip cost: $13.00, payable on the Campus Portal
- Time: 8:30 - 12:30
- Lunch: Students will need bring a lunch from home or get one from Taher (School Food Service)

- Complete the Field Trip Permission form. This form also contains a question about fingerprint scanning. Students are not currently being scanned to purchase food/milk from Taher. If you have already completed the field trip permission form but you do not wish your student to attend this trip, contact your child's teacher.

1st Grade
Each student will have the opportunity to hike the Aldo Leopold Nature Center grounds in snowshoes! We’ll head out across the snow-covered landscape and practice basic snowshoeing skills and techniques. Along the hike, we’ll search for animal tracks and discuss the science and nature of snowshoeing.

- Date: January 31, 2025
- Chaperones: We need two adults for each classroom
- Trip cost: $7
- Time: 8:30-11:30
- Lunch: Students will eat at school.

2nd Grade
Sandhill 2nd graders will get the chance to observe the timeless tale of Cinderella from Rodgers & Hammerstein on Tuesday, February 18th. This play features themes of imagination, resilience, and hope. As 1st graders last year our second grade students learned about the many versions of this classic fairytale and now they will have the chance to watch a beautiful performance live!

- Lunch: Students will eat lunch at school.

3rd Grade
Sandhill 3rd grade students and staff will be visiting the Bell Burnell Observatory on January 10th! During the field trip, they will have the opportunity to learn from an astronomer, explore Martian soil properties, and explore the observatory!
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO KNOW?
- Date: Friday, January 10, 2025
- Chaperones: None Needed
- Trip cost: $8.00 payable on the Campus Portal
- Timing: Leave Sandhill at 9:15 and return at 2:00
- Lunch: Students will need to bring a lunch from home or get one from the school food service (Taher)

5th Grade
Sandhill fifth graders are learning about Native American culture in their literacy class. On October 10th, we will go to the Hoard Historical Museum and Aztalan State Park to see Native American artifacts and learn more about their culture.
Time: 8:45 - 2:30
Fee: $10 for bus and admission to Hoard Museum
Lunch: Students will need to bring a lunch from home or get one from Taher (school food service provider)
Chaperones: 9 total chaperones needed for this trip
